Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- Explain why a safety program directed at electrical hazards is necessary and beneficial
- Explain the procedures for establishing an electrically safe working condition
- Complete and identify the steps for an arc flash risk assessment
- Explain the difference between electrical hazards and risk
- Identify the information needed for and perform a shock hazard analysis
- Explain the intent and limitations of PPE that is prescribed by NFPA 70E
- Understand the importance of maintenance of various types of electrical equipment and protective equipment as well as normal operating conditions
- Explain the dangers associated with electrical shock and the arc event
