Instructor-led by an NFPA Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional.
This 4-hour course will train companies and employees to implement and improve safe work practices while reducing exposure to electrical hazards. This electrical safety course covers qualified and unqualified electrical worker requirements, arc flash hazards, job safety analysis and planning, PPE requirements, boundaries, and equipment labeling. This course complies with OSHA training requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910 Subpart S and 1926 Subpart K. It is based on the National Fire Protection Association NFPA 70E® 2021 Electrical Safety in the Workplace standard.

Description

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Identify and categorize Electrical Hazards
  • Explain the dangers associated with Arc Flash
  • Explain the dangers associated with Electrical Shock
  • Identify the correct PPE
  • Understand the two PPE methods set forth in NFPA 70E
  • Know when and how to establish an Electrically Safe Working Condition
  • Understand when an Energized Work Permit is required
  • Understand the requirements for a Qualified Person
  • Identify when Arc Flash and Shock boundaries are active and the requirements to enter said boundaries
  • Properly read and understand Arc Flash Labels
